The biggest advantage for getWaiter! users is the ease of it’s set-up. With no required integration with any of your existing IT systems, the app can be deployed within a matter of minutes.
Go to the getWaiter! for business page to sign up. Remember to fill in your details correctly.
Select how many tables you would initially like to run and choose a suitable display method for your QR table codes (please note that you can amend the numbers and the design of the table codes at any point after registration including adding more tables and areas).
We will use your email address to send you a welcome introduction containing your table codes; ultimately that email and the password will become your login details.
Once you have clicked the sign up button you will receive an email from us with useful information. The bit that you should look out for is your waiter station login. This login can be used for either app or web based waiter station.
In the same email you will be able to download an attachment with your initial table codes. If you are using any of our table hardware, please ensure that you select the print size to 100%.
Get your scissors out! Separate the table codes and distribute them accordingly onto your chosen tables (you can laminate them as an example).
We have a range of tableware for the table codes along with a range of different print layouts; which you can order directly from us either as a DIY kit or already pre-assembled. If you require a bespoke label design or a layout please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
Using the getWaiter! app on your phone, tap on the “Tap to Start” button to scan one of your table codes. Once scanned you should see a set of 4 buttons. Tap on the “Call Waiter” button to register your request with the system. You should receive a confirmation message of this.
To find the feedback page simply click on the “Request the Bill” button. In case of any error messages please ensure that your phone is connected to the Internet.
Any requests made on the getWaiter! app should pop up on your waiter station within seconds of the button being pressed. The information appearing on your screen will include: the type of the request; the table number and the customer’s waiting time.
Should the wait time go over the recommended amount (default 5 mins); it will highlight in red. (Please note: you can amend your estimated response time in your control panel settings).
Your customer entry may also pop up with a feedback button – which will allow you instant access to customer’s opinion (*please note that this option is only available with our premium service).
The customer’s request will remain on your waiter station screen until you acknowledge it. In other words; you have to close the request for it to disappear, the waiter should then go to see the customer.
getWaiter! can be used in any venue offering table service. There is also no limit as to how many getWaiter! areas you can create at your chosen location.
